The principles behind the 4.7
Online reviews are most useful when they are honest. The 4.7-star average for L and L Law Group, PLLC reflects a deliberate decision — we tell clients what we see in their case, including when the State’s evidence is stronger than they want to hear and when a plea offer is the better path. That honesty does not always produce a five-star review, and we are comfortable with that.
Real criminal defense work runs into real losses. We have had cases where every motion was filed, every objection preserved, and every cross-examination prepared — and the jury convicted anyway. Some of those clients still left five-star reviews because they felt heard, prepared, and respected by their lawyer. Some of those clients did not leave five-star reviews. Both are honest.
What we do not do: solicit reviews in exchange for fee discounts, free legal work, gift cards, or anything else of value. That practice violates Google’s review policies, Texas Disciplinary Rule 7.04, and basic professional ethics. We also do not respond to reviews with confidential details about a client’s case. If you read a review and wonder about the case underneath it, we cannot fill in the blanks — that conversation stays in the file.
A founding partner reads every Google review left for the firm and responds to substantive feedback when a response adds value. Critical reviews get the same attention as positive ones, and we use them to improve. The trial team also reviews the patterns — what clients consistently appreciate, what they consistently flag — and incorporates those signals into the firm’s standard operating procedures.

Common questions about reviews
Are these reviews verified?
Yes. Reviews shown on this page are Google reviews pulled live from our verified Google Business Profile at g.page/landllawgroup. They are linked to Google accounts and cannot be posted anonymously.
How does L and L Law Group respond to reviews?
A founding partner reads every Google review left for the firm. We respond to substantive feedback and use it to improve the practice. We do not solicit reviews in exchange for fee discounts or anything else of value — that violates Google policy and Texas Disciplinary Rule 7.04.
Can I leave a review if my case is still active?
You can, but we suggest waiting until your case has resolved. An active case is the worst time to share specifics in a public review — and a five-star review during representation is less helpful to other prospective clients than a five-star review at the end of the case.
Why is the average 4.7 and not 5.0?
Because real practices have real cases that do not all end with the result the client hoped for. We do not chase a perfect score. We aim to be honest with every client about the strength of their case and the range of likely outcomes. The 4.7-star average reflects that honesty.
Do reviews on this page include cases that ended in conviction?
Yes. We do not filter reviews. Some of our reviews come from clients who were convicted but felt the firm gave them honest representation through difficult facts. Some come from clients whose cases were dismissed. The reviews are what they are.
Can L and L Law Group remove a negative review?
No — and we would not try. Google has its own dispute process for reviews that violate its policies (fake reviews, harassment, off-topic content), but we do not remove reviews simply because they reflect a difficult experience.
