L and L Law Group corrects material errors in its published legal content promptly and transparently. If you find something inaccurate, outdated, or unclear on this site, tell us and a Texas-licensed attorney will review it.
Our commitment to accuracy
Texas criminal law, penalty ranges, court procedures, and county practices change. We build our calculators, blog posts, charge pages, and practice-area content from primary sources — the Texas Penal Code, Code of Criminal Procedure, official county and court resources, and reported case law — and an attorney reviews substantive legal content before and after publication. When something is wrong, we fix it rather than leave it.
How we handle corrections
- Triage. We acknowledge correction reports and assess whether the issue is factual (a wrong statute, penalty, date, or citation), an out-of-date change in the law, or an editorial matter (clarity, typos).
- Attorney review. Substantive legal corrections are verified by a Texas-licensed attorney against the current primary source before any change goes live.
- Fix & timestamp. We update the page and refresh its “last reviewed/updated” date. Material legal corrections are noted in the log below.
- No silent rewrites of meaning. Where a correction changes the substance of prior guidance, we say so plainly.
